Monster Hunter Wilds for PS5 is a massive action RPG from Capcom that continues the legendary Monster Hunter series. As a professional hunter, you will join a Guild expedition and travel to the Forbidden Lands — a largely unexplored region where humans and monsters exist within a harsh and constantly changing ecosystem. The story begins with the rescue of a boy named Nata, whose account leads the investigation team toward a mysterious creature known as the White Wraith. Explore expansive environments where weather, surroundings, and animal behaviour can change dramatically, track your prey, and battle enormous monsters, each featuring distinctive attacks and behavioural patterns. Choose from 14 classic Monster Hunter weapon types, gather materials from defeated creatures, and craft increasingly powerful weapons and armor for future hunts. Your faithful Seikret mount helps you quickly travel across the world, allows you to use items and certain weapons while moving, and can carry an additional weapon that can be swapped during a hunt. Focus Mode makes it easier to aim attacks, guard against incoming strikes, and target monster wounds, while new actions and environmental interactions make every hunt even more varied.

Monster Hunter Wilds can be played solo with the assistance of Support Hunter characters or together with other players in cooperative hunts. The PS5 version supports DualSense controller features including haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.
