🔹 Charging method – Apple Pencil (USB-C) charges via a USB-C port, while Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) charges magnetically by attaching to the iPad.
🔹 No gesture support – Apple Pencil (USB-C) does not support double-tap gestures for switching tools, which is available in Apple Pencil (2nd Generation).
🔹 Design – Both styluses have a matte finish, but Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) magnetically attaches to the iPad, whereas Apple Pencil (USB-C) is stored separately.
🔹 Compatibility – Apple Pencil (USB-C) supports a wider range of iPads, including the iPad (10th generation) and the latest iPad Air and iPad Pro models, whereas Apple Pencil (2nd Generation) only works with iPad Pro (2018 and newer), iPad Air (4th generation and newer), and iPad mini (6th generation).
