METRO 2039 Day One Edition PS5

Descend into the depths of the Metro and uncover the secrets of your past

METRO 2039 Day One Edition for PS5 is a story-driven first-person shooter with survival and horror elements from 4A Games, set in post-apocalyptic Moscow in 2039. A quarter of a century after nuclear war, survivors continue to struggle for existence in the tunnels beneath the contaminated city. As The Stranger, a recluse haunted by violent nightmares, you must leave your refuge and return to the Metro, a place he swore never to enter again. Explore radioactive ruins, dangerous swamps, and narrow underground passages, fight enemies or move stealthily while conserving precious resources. Repair worn equipment, charge electronic devices, find blueprints, and upgrade handmade weapons. Use your UV tool to discover secrets and open new paths to hidden locations and stories. The single-player campaign combines tense firefights, exploration of a deadly world, and a narrative created in collaboration with Metro universe author Dmitry Glukhovsky.

The Day One Edition includes the base game on disc for PS5 and the METRO 2039 Specialist Pack offered as a pre-order bonus. The pack contains three blueprints that provide early unlocks for interchangeable backpack upgrades: the Equipment Specialist Pouch helps you craft advanced weapons and equipment more quickly, the Chemtech Specialist Pouch supports exploration of radioactive areas with additional gas mask filters and better equipment upkeep, while the Munitions Specialist Pouch focuses on finding and using rarer, more powerful ammunition. Only one backpack upgrade can be equipped at a time.
