The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Day One Edition for Nintendo Switch 2 is a modern version of one of the most celebrated adventures in video game history, rebuilt from the ground up for a new generation. The evil Ganondorf seeks to claim the legendary Triforce from the Sacred Realm and conquer Hyrule, and young Link must become the Hero of Time and stop him. Embark on a journey across Hyrule, explore dungeons, solve puzzles, battle a wide variety of enemies, and use the legendary Ocarina of Time to influence the world around you and progress through the story. The Nintendo Switch 2 version features completely overhauled visuals, fully voiced story cutscenes, expanded character dialogue, and symphonic orchestral music. Reworked controls allow Link to jump and dash, while modern camera controls make exploring the world and fighting enemies significantly more intuitive. At the same time, the game preserves the story and spirit of the original Ocarina of Time while bringing the classic adventure into a new era.

The Day One Edition represents the first print run of the physical version and features special collectible packaging with textured foil cover art. Availability of this packaging is limited to the first print run.
